Some More Engine Teardown

Yesterday my dad and I braved the cold for a little while to work on getting the engine torn down some. We managed to get the head off before retiring for the night.
Here's the valve train
We got cams shafts removed
Here's my dad removing the head studs. They were pesky little buggers. I guess they were just doing their job.
We managed to get the head off, but definitely had some issues getting the water pipe off. It was so stuck on that the impact wrench couldn't pop the nuts loose and one of them stripped with the ratchet.
You can definitely see there's a lot carbon build up from the oil leak.
With the head of, it looks like the head gasket is in good condition and it's hard to see from the looks of the tops of the pistons why it was burning so much oil.
This is where we left off. Hopefully I can try to find some time to work on it some more!
